Taking green to the dining room
Guest post written by Olivia Stein
I’ve made a lot of adjustments in my life to try and be a little greener and environmentally conscious. But there’s always room for improvement. We recycle basically everything in our house now. But there are things that you can’t recycle that you can find other alternatives that are a little more green for.
I was thinking about that the other day and I even found a list for that when I was reading a green blog online with my clearwireinternet. When I was looking at that list I realized that I go through so many paper napkins in our household and paper towels that maybe it would be better to make a bunch of cloth napkins to use instead.
I thought this would be a fun little project to do anyway and I was looking forward to picking out some fabric to make it with. I found some that match my tablecloth and placemats in the dining room, along with our dishes. I’m also going to tell my family that we’re going to use those all the time and only paper napkins if it’s an emergency.
